Warranty
At Modern Style Outdoor Furniture, we are confident in the quality of the goods we provide. At all times, your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act apply. We offer a further warranty on furniture sold by Modern Style Outdoor Furniture as specified below. We warranty our products to be free of defects in material and workmanship for the warranty periods outlined. The Warranty only applies where the goods are used for domestic use. Warranties are not transferable and are limited to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. Our warranty is not applicable to clearance, seconds and heavily discounted items sold “as is” due to any pre-existing damage.

- 3-year Warranty – Powder Coat Finish
- 3-year Warranty – FSC Teak
- 5-year Warranty – Rino HDPE Rattan (note – stock purchased before 2021 has a 3-year warranty)
- 3-year Warranty – LIFE All Weather Textilene Fabric
- 2-year Warranty – Quick Dry Foam
- 2-year Warranty – Polyester Rope
- 2-year Warranty – Umbrellas
- 1-year Warranty – Ooni Pizza Ovens (5-year if registered with Ooni NZ)
- 2-year Warranty – Covers
To claim repairs or parts under warranty, please email us at [email protected] with the invoice and any relevant photos. Please provide a close-up photo of the affected area and the whole product. We may also need information about how the product has been used, the environment it is in, care and maintenance routines and other factors that may have impacted the furniture. The issue must be covered by warranty, please check any exclusions detailed in our Terms & Conditions. Our aim is to help resolve the issue and get the best possible outcome for you.
Please read our general warranty terms & conditions and care & maintenance guide carefully. Neglecting to adhere to the care instructions properly may lead to early ageing or failure of the product, potentially invalidating the manufacturer’s warranty.
Sunbrella® Fabric 5-Year Limited Warranty
Sunbrella fabric has a guarantee that is the best in the industry, a 5-year limited warranty (to supply replacement of the fabric only) for upholstery fabrics. This warranty protects against Sunbrella fabric becoming unserviceable due to colour or strength loss from normal usage and exposure conditions, including sunlight, mildew, and atmospheric chemicals.
Teak
Expansion and contraction of timbers will occur with changes in humidity and temperature. This natural occurrence may result in the splitting of timber, which is considered normal and not a defect. In regions with high humidity, wet conditions, or subtropical climates, the timber is more likely to experience frequent expansion and contraction, leading to raised grain, splitting, checking, or cracking. These changes are part of the natural weathering process for outdoor wooden furniture and will not impact its durability.
