Yes! We have four showroom locations – Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga and Christchurch.

After you have made your purchase, we will email you a copy of the invoice with a summary of your order and any payment due. Please keep a copy of this for warranty purposes. Once we have received the full balance owing on the invoice, we arrange delivery or pick up of your furniture at a suitable time. You will be contacted by us, either via phone or email in the first instance, and then by the freight company closer to the actual delivery, if this is the case. We use our own dedicated delivery driver and van and when needed, a furniture freight company. We aim to get the furniture to you as quickly as possible.

Absolutely, we’ve made it easy and available anytime. Simply add the items you like to the cart and proceed to checkout. You can select delivery or local pick up (Auckland and Christchurch only) depending on your address. We have the option of paying securely with credit card or bank transfer. Once your order is complete, you will receive a confirmation email detailing your order. We will get in touch to arrange delivery or pick up. If we are unable to supply, or the freight needs to be re-quoted, we will contact you for approval BEFORE proceeding with your order. 

Generally, if the product is available to be purchased online it will have an ‘add to cart’ button. When a product is no longer available to ‘add to cart’, it may have sold out, be temporarily out of stock, or be on backorder. Please contact us and we can let you know when it is due back into stock. Most items are available to buy online. If the product is unavailable online, it may be available in-store unless specified otherwise. Modern Style does not guarantee the availability of any specific product at any time.

No, sorry. We currently only sell packages/sets as shown on our website for online orders. Please call or email us, or pop into one of our showrooms to discuss your needs. We are happy to mix & match so you get the outdoor furniture that works for you and fits your space.

We generally have the furniture in stock ready for delivery or for you to take home on the day if you are based in Auckland or Christchurch. However, depending on the time of year, we may be waiting on a shipment. You are welcome to put an item on back-order with wait times usually around 2-3 months.
We have three main furniture manufacturers. One is a manufacturing partner in China and they manufacture our designs using European fabric and powder coat suppliers. The other two are European companies that have manufacturing facilities in China and Indonesia.
All our cushions are made using genuine French Sunbrella fabric. It is made in France and shipped over to the factories in China to manufacture our cushions and fully upholstered furniture.
All our teak furniture is made with FSC or SVLK certified Indonesian Legal Wood. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) is an international organisation committed to conservation and responsible forest management worldwide. FSC® speaks of responsible forest management when the ecological, social and economic aspects of forest management are taken into account in a balanced way. Wood products that originate from an FSC® certified forest can be recognised by the FSC® label. In order to ensure that products carrying this label actually come from a responsibly managed forest, all links in the product’s trading chain must be certified. Only when, for example, a forest manager, factory and wholesaler can prove that they comply with the FSC® rules can a product be sold as FSC® and use the FSC® logo. The certification of these companies is done by independent certifiers.
We import the furniture directly, shipping it into Auckland and Christchurch where we combine our showrooms with warehouses in these two locations.
We are able to help you with storage for a limited time on a case by case basis. Depending on the time of year we have limited free warehouse space available as we do try to have everything in stock ready for our customers to enjoy. While we don’t mind storing your outdoor furniture for a short period of time, if your build, renovation, or house move has been pushed out, we ask that you contribute a small amount to our warehousing costs and also request that the balance of your invoice be settled.

Most of the outdoor furniture comes fully assembled. The dining tables and some of the coffee tables require simple assembly and come flat packed. Otherwise, your furniture comes complete with frames and Sunbrella cushions packed together in boxes.

The fully assembled furniture is either in cardboard wrap or boxes. Other protective packaging is included inside the boxes. Sunbrella cushions are individually wrapped in plastic or in zipped bags. Dining tables are flat packed in cardboard with protective polystyrene. Items are packed either as a single piece of furniture or multiples. Please check with us if you need the dimensions of the boxes.

Yes! They are designed specifically to be used and left outside all year round. Sunbrella fabric and quick-dry foam are the best performing materials for outdoor use. At Modern Style, we only sell furniture made from these materials to ensure it can cope with both rain and sun, and with regular maintenance, it will continue to look amazing for years to come. Some of our dining chairs have Olefin seat cushions as they are usually brought inside when not in use. Sunbrella is engineered to the highest levels of design and performance. It is treated to withstand moisture, mould, mildew and the sun’s damaging rays. So yes, our outdoor furniture is weatherproof and fade resistant, but not 100% waterproof. If the furniture gets wet, it will dry out relatively quickly. However, in extreme weather or the depths of winter, you may consider storing the cushions inside or using a cover. We want you to enjoy your outdoor furniture for longer without having to replace cushions, worry about colour fading, race around bringing cushions inside and out or needing extra cushion storage.

Yes we have custom-made furniture covers available for some of our ranges. Please note, teak furniture needs to breathe, therefore, we do not recommend using covers. The covers are made from PVC and polyester and are dustproof and waterproof. The covers have a 2-year warranty.
